Github

Source files, binaries, and wallets for Windows and Linux may be found on GitHub:

https://github.com/nukeling/Wyvern

Known Bugs: The wallet binary will have an error upon first run due to being compiled on a separate machine.  Simply run the wallet again and it will work fine from that point on. The bug will be crushed eventually; stay tuned.

Pool Mining Instructions

 Mining pools are available at the following links:

Download ccminer 1.6.4 from The Cryptomining Blog and unzip wherever you'd like, editing the batch file according to the instructions in the pool.

Solo Mining Instructions

Note: Due to the current mining difficulty of Wyvern, solo mining is not recommended for hashrates below 100MH/s.

Windows:

  • Download ccminer 1.6.4 from The Cryptomining Blog and unzip wherever you'd like.
  • Navigate to your %appdata%\Wyvern directory and create a text file named wyvern.conf.
  • Add the following to the .conf file:
rpcuser=(pick a username)
rpcpassword=(make this a SECURE password or you risk wallet compromise!)
rpcallowip=127.0.0.0/24
rpcport=44555
server=1
daemon=1
  • Save the file. Next time you launch the wallet, it will be running in server mode.
  • Open a command prompt, navigate to ccminer's location and type
ccminer.exe -a NIST5 -o localhost:44555 -O username:password

substituting username:password for the credentials you saved in wyvern.conf

Linux (untested)

  • Download ccminer 2.0 from github and compile it.
  • Open or create ~/.wyvern/wyvern.conf in your favorite text editor.
  • Add the following to the .conf file:
rpcuser=(pick a username)
rpcpassword=(make this a SECURE password or you risk wallet compromise!)
rpcallowip=127.0.0.0/24
rpcport=44555
server=1
daemon=1
  • Relaunch your wallet to start it in server mode.
  • Navigate to the ccminer directory and run:
./ccminer -a NIST5 -o localhost:44555 -O username:password

substituting username:password for the credentials you saved in wyvern.conf.
